Warhammer 40K: Raven Guard Inceptor Squad

I'm slowly continuing to paint up all my Raven Guard, and the latest unit to be completed from the "Dark Imperium" starter set is the Inceptor Squad.  When it comes to painting and modeling, I'm super slow, as you can tell from my blog posts, and since I play a good variety of different games, it seems to take me even longer to get one army completely done for a game.

The Inceptor Squad will definitely see battle time in my lists, and I plan on expanding the unit to its full size.  These were not too bad t assemble and paint, and the hardest problem I had was getting them onto the flight stands that GW provides.  The bottom line, they suck.  GW really missed the mark with this stands, and I'm highly disappointed in them.  Beyond that, I really like the models.

You can play this squad in several different ways, with their Meteoric descent rule, it makes the Inceptors very versatile.  You can use them as an Alpha strike on turn one to try to eliminate something.  Or you can use them as a backup as a defense to counter a deep-strike from the enemy.  There are probably other ways to use them if you have them use the Plasma Exterminators, you can try to punch through something with armour.

Here is my completed unit from the starter set:

Looking forward to using these guys on the battlefield.

Not sure what will be on the painting table next, but until next time, try to stay safe in these crazy times.
